Dreams Made True, Inc. was founded in 2010 by David and Dayna Teske after being inspired by their daughter, Daleney Marie Teske.
They took her initials, DMT, and created Dreams Made True, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of girls with special needs, ages 5-25, and providing their families the opportunity to connect with and learn from each other.
These young ladies will have the chance to unite and showcase their unique abilities through the beauty pageant format.
The Sixth Annual Dreams Made True Pageant will be held on July 17-18, 2015, at the Carroll High School Auditorium in Carroll, Iowa.
The fun will begin on Friday, July 17, at 6:30 pm with check-in at the auditorium. We will have social time with snacks, giving the girls and their parents a chance to meet each other and their assigned buddies. We will also have a short rehearsal on Friday night.
Saturday morning, July 18, the girls will participate in a private interview session with a panel of judges. While their daughters are busy interviewing, parents may participate in technology forums, listen to inspirational speakers, and network with other parents going through similar issues. A pizza party along with special entertainment to amaze the girls will follow around noon. After lunch each contestant will have a hair and makeup session in preparation for the pageant itself. The pageant competition begins at 3:00 pm. Musical entertainment will be provided by Lindee Link, singing her own hit Fairytale, which has become the Dreams Made True theme song as its lyrics describe how we want to make the girls feel.
In the first round of competition, each girl will be introduced on stage wearing her pageant t-shirt and denim bottoms. The second round of competition will feature a casual wear outfit that showcases the unique personality of each special girl. The final round will bring each girl across that stage in her beautiful evening gown. Crowns, sashes, and trophies will be awarded in each of the four age groups: 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, and 20-25. All competitors will receive a participation medal. A celebration supper will be held following the pageant. Join us for a magical night of Dreams Made True for all!
